FAQ
What is the cost of lessons?
Lessons are charged in block sums at the beginning of each month at a flat rate $150 for 30-minute lessons or $285 for 60-minute lessons. This rate is consistent whether there are 4 or 5 weeks in a month. There is also a one time and non-refundable Registration Fee of $35 per student.
Can I do a Trial lesson to see if the teacher is a good fit for myself or my child?
Because our teachers are compensated based on total time taught and our lesson program is growing increasingly popular, we do not offer trial lessons. If you have signed up for a month and it is not working out as you had hoped, there are no additional fees for canceling, provided you cancel before the 25th of that month.
We do offer a free lesson with any rental or purchase of an instrument over $399! The lesson must be on the same instrument. Not all instruments currently have associated teachers and unfortunately may not qualify for a free lesson.
How are lessons billed?
Lessons are billed on a monthly basis with payments drawn automatically on the first of every month via debit or credit card. We do not accept cash or check for lesson payments.
Can I change which card is being billed?
Yes! All you need to do is call (747)245-3373 or email [email protected] and provide them with the new card information.
What if I have a scheduled vacation or absence?
Each student is granted 3 sick/vacation days per calendar year. If you know you will be absent in advance, you can let us know by the 25th of the preceding month and we will be able to adjust the billing. All other absences MUST give 24 hours notice or the lessons will be considered No-Shows.
What about lesson make ups?
We do not offer make-up lessons. Regular attendance is expected at all lessons.
What do we need to bring to the lesson?
The students are expected to bring all necessary supplies to their lessons, including instruments, books or other materials as required by the teacher. If you need an instrument, we are more than happy to help you with a rental or purchase! (Keyboard and drum students will have an instrument provided in the lesson room but will need their own instrument for at-home practice).
How can I discontinue lessons?
Lessons MUST be canceled by the 25th to avoid being charged for the next month. Refunds will not be given for any remaining lessons. Lessons can be discontinued simply by emailing our lesson coordinator at [email protected]. You will receive confirmation once the lessons and billing have been canceled.
